The College of Nursing /Thi Qar University offers an undergraduate program of study that awards a bachelor's degree in nursing sciences. The study period for this program is four years during which students acquire all the knowledge and skills to

During the study program, students will study topics related to various nursing sciences including internal and surgical nursing, maternal and neonatal nursing, community health nursing, critical care nursing and mental health nursing as well as other basic
. medical sciences such as biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, nutrition and pharmacology
: The organization of the study process in the college is as follows
. The duration of study in the college is four years ◉
Courses are two semesters for each academic level (year), and what is required to be completed for graduation is ◉
. eight semesters
. The total number of study units required for graduation is 141 units ◉
The student activity evaluation system for academic subjects with a scale of 100 points ◉
The passing grade is 50% for each subject ◉
The graduation degree (cumulative grade) for the student is calculated by adding the calculated percentages (cumulative
: grade) from the final grade of the level of study (year) and as follows
First stage 10% ➧
Second stage 20% ➧
Third stage 30% ➧
Fourth stage 40% ➧
: The student's relation with the college ends in one of the following two cases 🔵
. If the student fails two consecutive years in his level ✔️
If the student exceeds the specified period of study, including the years of repetition (years of postponement and non-failure ✔️

The student may postpone his studies for one year for legitimate and convincing reasons to the College Council, and *

Holders of the preparatory certificate (with its scientific or biological branches) regardless of the year of graduation from ✔️
the preparatory school. These students apply through the direct admission process in the college based on the GPA, and students with higher averages are admitted according to the annual plan of the college and according to ministerial instructions.
Recent graduates from the top 10% of diploma holders (Medical Technical Institute - Nursing Department or ✔️
Community Health Department - Evening Study), where these students apply through the ministerial centralized admission
. process based on GPA and students with higher averages are admitted
Holders of the preparatory certificate (nursing preparatory) regardless of the year of graduation from the preparatory ✔️
school. These students apply through the college's direct admission process based on the GPA, and students with higher averages are admitted according to the college's annual plan (10% of the admission plan is allocated to this segment) and
